The Head of state convened a working meeting on organization of sports event “Hai Haiduci!”

Moldovan President Igor Dodon convened a working meeting on organization of a sports event called “Hai Haiduci!” which would be held for the second year in a row under the auspices of the Head of State and would be an integral part of the events in the framework of the Year of the Family.

The event will take place on April 20-21 and will be organized by the Charity Foundation “Din Suflet” as part of the National Campaign “I Love Moldova” in partnership with the “Sporter” Sports Club.

“Hai Haiduci!” is a trail race, which will be attended by about 600 amateur and professional athletes from Moldova and abroad. Not only a race will be organized, but also a cycling race, the competitions being held in the heart of the Codru forest. Both races will start at the Ethnic cultural Complex Vatra at distances of 8, 16 and 30 km, the finishing point being at the Oak of Stefan the Great.

The program of the event also includes fire’ and magic shows, entertainment for children and a concert with participation of local stars.

The year 2019 was declared the Year of the Family in Moldova by presidential decree.
