The Head of State discussed with the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Petr Fiala

President Maia Sandu had a phone call with Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala today. The officials discussed the recent security developments in the region and in Moldova.

President Sandu mentioned the measures taken by the Chisinau authorities to protect and assist refugees from Ukraine. In this context, Prime Minister Fiala expressed his gratitude for all the support we are offering to Ukrainian citizens in these difficult times. The Head of State also underlined that Moldova is counting on European partners’ help to support our country's efforts in managing the flow of people crossing our border.
