The current security developments in our country and in the region were addressed today by the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, in her telephone conversation with the President of Georgia, Salome Zourabishvili. The discussion focused on the security risks posed by Russia's war in Ukraine, as well as the humanitarian efforts undertaken to help refugees from the neighbouring state.
The officials also discussed opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and Georgia. At the end of the discussion, President Maia Sandu congratulated the citizens of Georgia on the occasion of their Independence Day, celebrated yesterday.
