The Head of State discussed with EBRD President the continuation of pro-business programs in our country

At the end of the first day of the World Economic Forum in Davos, President Maia Sandu met with Odile Renaud-Basso, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

The interlocutors discussed the programmes financed by the EBRD and currently implemented in the Republic of Moldova, including programmes for investment in infrastructure and support for strengthening energy independence, as well as programmes for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises.

The head of state expressed her hope that the EBRD will continue the pro-business programmes in Moldova in the new country strategy for Moldova for 2023-2028, as they are an important step to increase the prosperity of citizens: "We need to help as many small and medium entrepreneurs as possible to grow their businesses and create new jobs at home if we want the people of Moldova to live better in their country", President Maia Sandu stressed.
