Presidency of the Republic of Moldova
President Nicolae Timofti today conveyed a message of condolence, on behalf of the Moldovan citizens and on his own behalf, to his counterparts from the countries which have lost citizens in the plane crash that took place in eastern Ukraine.
The president also expressed sympathy for the families of the victims of the disaster involving the Malaysia Airlines MH17 aircraft with 298 people on board.
The message says:
"It is with deep regret and sympathy we learned of the tragic plane crash, resulting in numerous casualties.
At this time of mourning, on behalf of the Moldovan people and on my own behalf, I express sincere feelings of solidarity and sympathy.
Your Excellency, please convey sincere condolences to the bereaved families."
