President Nicolae Timofti today handed a commemorative medal “The 70th anniversary of the victory over fascism in the World War II” to a group of veterans who fought within armed forces of the former Soviet Union and Romanian army.
The head of state thanked the veterans for their contribution to the establishment of peace, and brought homage to those who lost their lives in the World War II.
“I wish you good health, welfare and actively contribute to educating the young generations in the spirit of love towards the country and respect to people”, Nicolae Timofti said.
