The head of state voiced concern about the information spread in media on signing by the Moldovan government and Frontera Resources International company of the concession contract on geological exploration of hydrocarbons in Moldova.
“I am concerned that it is about leasing about 40 per cent of the country for a 50-year period. Also I know that besides the conceptual aspects of such a contract, there were many problems in different countries in relation to this company”, he said.
The head of state urgently asked the government and other relevant institutions for all information on this contract. Yet, the presidency will soon come up with an extended position on the matter.
