The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, had a meeting at the Munich Security Conference with Gitanas Nausėda, the President of Lithuania and a good friend of our country. "I discussed with President Nausėda the security situation in the region and appreciated the dialogue between our countries in several sectors," said the head of state.
Additionally, President Maia Sandu mentioned that there is good bilateral cooperation in the defense and internal affairs sectors. She also appreciated the contribution of the Lithuanians to strengthening the capacities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. "I thanked President Nausėda and the Lithuanian partners for their support in our process of joining the European Union," said the head of state.
