At the plenary session of the fourth Council of Europe Summit, the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, spoke about democracy and resilience. "In countries where there is political will, transformations are possible, democracies become stronger, and societies become more resilient," said the head of state.
President Maia Sandu mentioned that Moldova is an example in this regard, having advanced in the past two years in all international rankings that measure the state of democracy. "However, in the face of the challenges we face in our region, political will is not enough for our democracy to resist. The surest way to strengthen our democracy and maintain freedom is to join the European Union," stressed President Maia Sandu.
