President Maia Sandu spoke with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken

The President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu had a telephone conversation on Friday evening with the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken. Officials spoke about the difficult security situation in the region as a result of the war in Ukraine, and expressed full support for Ukraine's territorial integrity.

The Head of State noted that our country is ready to continue to provide humanitarian assistance to refugees from Ukraine. For his part, the US official appreciated Moldova's commitment to provide international protection to those seeking refuge from the war. Similarly, Secretary Blinken noted that the US will continue supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova.
