President Maia Sandu met with the Romanian Government and Parliament

Talks continue in Bucharest. President Maia Sandu visited the Victoria Palace today, where she held talks with Romanian Prime Minister Nicolae Ciucă.

The talks focused on ensuring the country's energy security. "We discussed various scenarios for the purchase and storage of natural gas and other energy resources, in the very difficult situation in which the Republic of Moldova currently finds itself," Maia Sandu said.

Discussions also focused on the ongoing projects following the joint meeting of the Romanian and Moldovan governments in February.

"In this context, I thanked the Romanian Prime Minister and his team for supporting our European course. We are grateful for the efforts of the Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bogdan Aurescu, for co-founding the Moldova Support Platform, together with his German and French colleagues, and for the support Romania announced at the Conference", said President Maia Sandu.

At the end of her trip, the Head of State visited the Romanian Parliament, where she discussed with Alina Gorghiu, Vice-President of the Romanian Senate, the strengthening of parliamentary cooperation between Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
