President Nicolae Timofti along with Prime Minister Iurie Leanca chaired today, 19 September current year, a meeting on the justice reform.
The head of state stressed out the importance to reform the judicial system and criticized the attitude of the higher law courts which had not sanctioned the magistrates accused of legislation violation.

The official said the World Bank’s partnership offered to the Republic of Moldova would allow improving the living standards of the citizens.
President Basescu expressed Romania’s willingness to substantially increase the imports of wines and other types of farming products from Moldova, following a recent decision by Russia to block the Moldovan wines’ import.
Asked by journalists to comment on the embargo imposed by the Russian authorities on the wine produced in Moldova, the president said: “The Russian side’s actions represent an unfriendly, non-Christian, disloyal act”.
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych welcomed Nicolae Timofti at his presidential residence. The two heads of state discussed aspects of the Moldovan-Ukrainian bilateral relations, stressing that they will further maintain a good-neighbor spirit between Moldova and Ukraine.
