President of the country Igor Dodon held a working meeting with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Moldova Oleg Vasnetsov.
The officials discussed a wide range of issues related to the development and strengthening of strategic partnership between our states.
The interlocutors praised the recent talks between Igor Dodon in Moscow with the Deputy Head of the Kremlin Administration, Special Representative of the President of Russia for the development of trade and economic relations with the Republic of Moldova Dmitri Kozak. In particular, they talked about the resumption of negotiations on a Russian loan in the amount of 200 million euros and on humanitarian aid to our farmers who had suffered damage due to the drought.
The parties separately discussed the topic of a vaccine against coronavirus, the creation of which had been recently announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Igor Dodon congratulated Russian partners on a very important achievement of medical science in the context of a pandemic and emphasized the interest of our country in obtaining this vaccine. In the near future, the leadership of the Republic of Moldova will send a request to Moscow.
