Presidency of the Republic of Moldova
The President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu had a meeting today with the new Ambassador of the United States of America in Chisinau, H.E. Kent Logsdon, once he handed over the letters of accreditation in our country. Officials discussed the current situation in the Republic of Moldova and the region, as well as the need to increase bilateral cooperation with the United States on various dimensions.
The Head of State underlined our country’s interest in developing economic, security, defense and energy cooperation, as well as the cooperation linked to the environment protection. At the same time, President Maia Sandu thanked the United States for its support in strengthening the democratic processes in the Republic of Moldova and the fight against corruption, as well as for supporting the implementation of regional development and modernization projects in the country.
