The President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu had phone call with U.S. President's National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan on Tuesday evening. They discussed about the regional security challenges, the consequences of the war in Ukraine and the Moldovan-American bilateral agenda.
The Head of State said that the U.S. has always supported the Republic of Moldova's efforts to strengthen its society and economy and to build a democratic state on the European model. Jake Sullivan stressed the U.S. commitment to help the Republic of Moldova to mitigate the consequences of the war in Ukraine, to address refugees’ needs and to implement the reform agenda announced by the authorities. In this context, the officials welcomed the opportunity to strengthen bilateral cooperation at the U.S.-Moldova Strategic Dialogue in Washington next week.
