Moldovan President Nicolae Timofti paid a working visit to the Constitutional Court (CC) today.
Timofti took notice of the working conditions and talked to CC judges.
The president also exchanged views with the EU experts, currently consulting the CC on matters of jurisprudence. Timofti welcomed their presence in Moldova.
CC chairman Alexandru Tanase talked about the main reforms that helped consolidate the institution.
“Offering citizens direct access to the Constitutional Court is the most important achievement. Such decisions help us align with the European functioning pattern,” Tanase said.
President Timofti voiced conviction that the EU expertise in CC’s jurisprudence field will benefit Moldova.
