The President of the Republic of Moldova presented the new Chief of Staff

Today, during a ceremony at the Ministry of Defense, Igor Dodon as a Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, presented to the commander's office of the National Army the new Chief of Staff, Mr. Igor Gorgan, commander of the National Army General Brigade.

Igor Dodon congratulated Mr. Gorgan on this occasion, and wished him success in this responsible position. The Head of State noted that General Gorgan has an extensive experience in the National Army. The President reminded the staff of the Defense Ministry that with the appointment of Mr. Pavel Voicu as Minister, he promised to promote only professionals and not people selected on political criteria.

At the same time, Igor Dodon noted with satisfaction that the officers of the Ministry work efficiently with Mr. Voicu, the Head of State expressing the hope that the same cooperation will also be with General Igor Gorgan.

Finally, the President of the Republic of Moldova expressed his conviction that a team of professionals is capable of providing a productive activity of the Ministry for the defense of our country and the accomplishment of the basic tasks of the National Army.
