President Nicolae Timofti participates in March of Dignity in Kiev

President Nicolae Timofti participated in the March of Dignity in Kiev on 22 February. An event that marked a year of pro-European actions held in the Square of Independence (Maidan) in Kiev, during which tens of protesters and policemen died.

Timofti, together with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and European officials, marched in the centre of Kiev city to Maidan, where a Te Deum was officiated in the memory of victims of 2014 tragic events.

Also in Kiev, Nicolae Timofti held unofficial talks with Petro Poroshenko and European leaders attending the ceremony, among whom President of the European Council Donald Tusk, German President Joachim Gauck, Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski, Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite, Slovakian President Andrej Kiska and Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili.
