President of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon had a working meeting with the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Moldova, resident representative of the United Nations Development Program Dafina Gercheva in connection with the completion of her mission in our country.
The Head of State thanked Ms. Gercheva for the active assistance to the social and humanitarian development of Moldova, for implementation of many programs on both banks of the Nistru river. “I consider activities of UNDP in our country as an example of a balanced and non-politicized approach to fulfilling the mission”, Igor Dodon said.
As a token of high recognition of merits in the process of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, the President of the Republic of Moldova signed a decree awarding Ms. Gercheva with the Order of Honor. In addition, the head of state congratulated her on the upcoming International Women's Day and wished success in her future professional activities.
