The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, had a joint discussion with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Norway, Jonas Gahr Støre, during the second EPC Summit in Bulboaca.
"I had a good discussion with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Norway, Jonas Gahr Støre. I thanked for Norway's decision to allocate additional non-reimbursable financial assistance to the Republic of Moldova. The money will be used to increase the energy efficiency of our country, but also to help our citizens to cope with the enormous challenges caused by the war in Ukraine", said the head of state.
At the same time, the President also spoke with Prime Minister Støre about our country's efforts to diversify our energy sources and to expand the export market for Moldovan products, including Norway. "The signing at the end of June of the Agreement on the European Free Trade Area (EFTA) with European countries, including Norway, will significantly boost our trade relations", President Maia Sandu stressed.
