Maia Sandu met today with representatives of the France-Moldova Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who are on a fact-finding visit to Chisinau. The discussion focused on accelerating the transition to green energy in our country and the possibility of attracting French companies in this area.
The Head of State underlined that despite the current instability in the region, Moldova is determined to modernise its energy sector and increase the share of the green energy. We are interested both in investments in renewable energy and in the expertise of countries that have more experience in this field, France being among those countries. The Head of State also stressed that Moldova is committed to being more open to business and that the actions of the government and the parliamentary majority are geared towards supporting and developing the business climate.
