President Maia Sandu met Kamala Harris, Vice President of the United States of America, at the White House on Tuesday evening. The Moldovan leader spoke to the US official about the major problems Moldova is facing, especially after the beginning of Russian aggression in Ukraine.
"I expressed my appreciation for the support offered by the US in the fight against corruption, for the assistance to increase the competitiveness of several sectors of the economy, for the help in overcoming the energy crisis," President Maia Sandu said.
The Head of State also spoke about our efforts to maintain peace and order in the country, the European integration agenda and our desire to remain part of the free world, to build a strong economy and a state that values and protects each of its citizens. "We can achieve these things through hard work and with the support of our partners. In this context, we reconfirmed our commitment to further strengthen the Moldovan-American strategic partnership," said President Maia Sandu after the meeting with Kamala Harris.
