Moldovan-Swiss cooperation discussed by President Maia Sandu and her Swiss counterpart

The head of state welcomed the President of the Swiss Confederation, Alain Berset, in Chișinău today. "The European Political Community Summit participants are already arriving in Moldova. I had the pleasure to see again the President of the Swiss Confederation, Alain Berset, this time at our home", said the head of state.

President Maia Sandu stressed that: "Moldova has excellent cooperation with Switzerland and we want to take advantage of new opportunities in trade cooperation once our country signs the European Free Trade Area Agreement (EFTA) on 27 June this year. Swiss partners, through various programmes, have been contributing to the transformation of the Republic of Moldova for years. With their support, we are modernising our localities, infrastructure and improving our education and health services".
